Ami’s Eulogy at the stone setting ceremony 19.4.2024

Hello everyone and thank you for coming here today.

I am again very moved that so many relatives, friends and acquaintances came to the unveiling ceremony of Stephie’s tombstone (and mine when the day comes).

My dear Stephie, I still can’t grasp the fact that you are no longer with me. If one thing comforts me now, it is that you are no longer suffering and can rest in peace forever.
But from that moment when you stopped suffering, my suffering has increased. The suffering that comes from intense longings, a huge and endless sadness, a great emptiness, loneliness and a feeling of having no one to share experiences with, make plans, spend time with, travel abroad and more.

All I have left now are the wonderful memories with you and the pictures that tell about them.
So thank you my wonderful and special darling, for all the years I had the privilege of living with you and experiencing together a special relationship and wonderful love.

You taught me how to live and shaped me in your special way. I will always remember you as you were: a strong, smart, heroic, brave, creative, kind-hearted woman, full of joy, warmth and love.

Don’t worry my sweet, I will try to be strong and start a new path with the help of family, friends and other good people.
